DHS Counsel Allegedly Advocates for Illegal Immigration on Social Media

A Department of Homeland Security associate counsel's social media activities have drawn scrutiny after investigations revealed controversial content about unauthorized border crossings.

According to Fox News, Wilson Osorio, an associate counsel with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service's Office of the Chief Counsel, used multiple social media platforms to share stories and advice about illegal immigration into the United States.

The American Accountability Foundation's investigation uncovered numerous videos posted by Osorio across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram platforms, featuring interviews with immigrants who entered the country without authorization.

Social Media Platforms Showcase Immigration Stories

The content creation began in July, with dozens of videos posted across multiple platforms. These videos highlighted various aspects of immigrant experiences, including financial success stories and practical advice for border crossers.

One notable video featured a Honduran immigrant who established a successful restaurant business generating over $1 million in sales after entering the country illegally approximately 20 years ago.

The social media posts included detailed accounts of earnings, with one featured individual reportedly making $1,000 weekly from fruit sales, while others discussed their paths to obtaining legal documentation.

Content Removal Following Investigation Discovery

After Fox News Digital contacted DHS and USCIS about the report, Osorio's social media presence underwent significant changes. His YouTube and TikTok accounts were made private, and his LinkedIn profile appeared to be removed.

The videos covered various topics, including advice for undocumented workers regarding wage disputes and highlighting the construction industry's reliance on unauthorized workers.

Several posts featured success stories of individuals who received legal status through various means, including Reagan-era amnesty programs and other pathways to citizenship.

Federal Official Faces Serious Allegations

American Accountability Foundation President Thomas Jones offered this statement about the situation:

Wilson Osorio personifies the plague of unelected radical leftist bureaucrats turning this country upside down. Even as he collects his taxpayer-funded salary, Osorio pushes his radical open borders agenda that is endangering the safety, stability and livelihoods of millions of Americans. It is an utter betrayal of the American people. He must be fired immediately.

The Department of Homeland Security has declined to comment on the official's social media activities, while the controversy continues to draw attention from political figures.

Senator Mike Lee of Utah responded to the revelations with strong criticism of the current administration's border policies.

Federal Employee Conduct Under Scrutiny

The investigation raises questions about the role of federal employees in immigration discussions. The revealed content included detailed information about border crossing experiences and subsequent successes in the United States.

Many videos featured personal stories of immigrants who had achieved various levels of success after entering the country without authorization, including business ownership and property acquisition in their home countries.

The social media posts appeared to provide both informational content and practical advice for individuals considering unauthorized entry into the United States. The Department of Homeland Security has not provided official comments on the situation, and political figures have expressed serious concerns about the implications of these activities.

Comprehensive Review Of Investigation Findings

The investigation into a DHS official's social media activity has revealed significant concerns about federal employee conduct regarding immigration matters.

Wilson Osorio, an associate counsel with USCIS, created and shared multiple videos featuring unauthorized immigration success stories across various social media platforms.

The content included detailed information about earnings, pathways to documentation, and practical advice for border crossers. Following the investigation's disclosure, the social media accounts in question were made private or removed.
