'Ninja' proclaims faith in new livestream

In a heartfelt livestream, popular video-game streamer Tyler Blevins or "Ninja," shared his personal beliefs with his vast audience, sparking conversations about faith and tolerance.

During the broadcast, Ninja voiced his respect for differing religious views while advocating for open, respectful discussions, the Christian Broadcasting Network reported.

Tyler Blevins, who commands a major presence online with over 19 million followers on Twitch and nearly 24 million YouTube subscribers, is not just known for his gaming prowess but also for his occasional insights into personal beliefs. In his latest livestream, Blevins delved into matters of faith, openly proclaiming his belief in Jesus.

Respect and Understanding in Religious Conversations

Blevins highlighted the importance of engaging in religious discussions with an open heart and mind. He emphasized understanding over conversion, stating it's vital to listen and respect others' beliefs without the need to change them.

"When you're talking to somebody and you're having a conversation, that's an important conversation, right? [W]hen you're talking to someone, don't talk to that person to change their mind, right? You're talking to this person, you know, you're just talking to them, right? And if you end up changing their mind, that's great," Blevins explained, promoting a dialogue-based approach.

Honoring His Mother and Her Decisions

Blevins also revisited a significant personal story from 2019 about his birth. Reflecting on a critical decision his mother made, he shared how she was advised by doctors to consider abortion due to potential medical conditions, but chose to continue the pregnancy.

Ninja referred to his mother as both a "saint and an angel," expressing profound love and gratitude for her life-altering decision. "My mom is a saint and an angel and I love her to death," he declared.

Faith Founded on Love, Not Fear

Beyond his family stories, Blevins voiced his view on what should motivate faith. He argued that the relationship with God should stem not from fear of apocalyptic threats but from a genuine desire to connect and improve oneself.

"We don’t need something like the threat of the end of times to start becoming better humans and developing a relationship with the Lord. You know what I mean, dude?" Blevins remarked, distancing his faith expression from fear-based narratives.

An Inclusive Approach to Beliefs and Views

He extended his inclusivity ethos to his streaming platform, which sees a diverse audience daily. Blevins stressed the importance of respecting all people and their religious preferences, advocating for a community built on mutual respect and love.

"Someone has no religion? We love everybody, dude," he said, encapsulating his approach of universal respect and love toward all, regardless of their religious affiliations or lack thereof.

His messages resonate with a broader movement in social media where influencers use their platforms to discuss personal and sensitive issues, bringing global communities into conversations that bridge across different personal and cultural perspectives.

Love as the Central Precept of Ninja's Philosophy

Conclusively, the central theme of Blevins' discourse was love and respect. "The most important thing I preach personally is that you just gotta love everybody — and I mean everybody. It’s all about respect and never belittling someone else’s faith, no matter what it is," he affirmed.

This philosophy not only shapes his interactions but also sets a standard for his viewers, encouraging a ripple effect of tolerance and understanding across the online and gaming communities.

Through his latest livestream, Ninja not only shared a piece of his soul but also invited his followers into a deeper, more respectful dialogue about life's big questions, showing that the world of gaming can intersect profoundly with personal convictions and societal values.
