Josh Buice, a prominent figure at G3 Ministries and Pray’s Mill Baptist Church, has resigned from his leadership roles after admitting to slandering fellow Christian leaders through anonymous digital platforms.

According to the Christian Post, Josh Buice’s resignation as president of G3 Ministries follows his confession to creating and using anonymous accounts for slander, leading to the cancellation of a major religious conference.

Buice, who also serves as an elder at Pray’s Mill Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia, faced allegations that he operated multiple untraceable social media and email accounts. His resignation has shaken the evangelical community.

Authorities confirmed the initial suspicions on May 4, 2025, when they confronted Buice with incontrovertible evidence linking him to at least four anonymous social media profiles, two email accounts, and two Substack publications.

Although church elders had confronted Buice several times over the past two years—and he consistently denied any wrongdoing—they finally presented detailed evidence that prompted him to confess.

Impact of Slander on Community and Resignation Decision

After Buice confessed, the G3 Ministries’ board officially accepted his resignation on May 8. The board expressed dismay at the revelations and their impact on the Christian community.

Church elders stated, "These actions were not only sinful in nature but deeply divisive, causing unnecessary suspicion and strife within the body of Christ, and particularly within the eldership of PMBC."

In contrast, Jennifer Greenberg offered a critical perspective, commenting on the broader issues of power dynamics involved: “Genuinely unimpressed by this. What I am saying is he’s not a unique offender. Josh Buice hurt the fragile feelings of men in power. This has nothing to do with sin and everything to do with ego and hierarchy,” explained Greenberg.

As the community grapples with the aftermath of this controversy, G3 Ministries announced plans to continue its other initiatives, such as G3+, G3 Press, and the G3 Student Retreat.
