Dr. Ben Carson inspires at Charlie Kirk memorial with revival call

In a powerful address that filled State Farm Stadium in Arizona, Dr. Ben Carson captivated thousands on Sunday with a message of hope and resilience at the memorial service for Charlie Kirk, the late founder of Turning Point USA.

Breitbart reported that Carson’s speech celebrated Kirk’s legacy, mourned his assassination, and urged attendees to embrace a growing Christian and patriotic revival while supporting the continued mission of Turning Point USA under new leadership.

The memorial, held on Sunday, drew a massive crowd to the Arizona stadium, reflecting the profound impact Kirk had on many lives through his work with Turning Point USA, a conservative organization focused on engaging young Americans.

Remembering a Leader’s Lasting Impact

During his speech, Carson expressed joy in witnessing a renewed sense of faith and national pride emerging in the wake of Kirk’s tragic death.

He highlighted Kirk’s dedication to countering cultural shifts he saw as harmful, particularly efforts by what Carson described as Marxist influences to reshape American values through government and media control.

Carson also announced that Kirk’s widow, Mrs. Erika Kirk, would step into a leadership role at Turning Point USA, expressing confidence that the organization would expand under her guidance.

Calling for Courage in Faith

Reflecting on the challenges facing the nation, Carson criticized some churches for abandoning traditional biblical teachings in favor of aligning with progressive ideologies.

He urged clergy to remain steadfast in their faith, encouraging them to focus on scriptural truths rather than societal pressures.

“I challenge the ministers out there to talk about what the Bible says and not what the leftists say,” Carson declared, emphasizing the importance of spiritual integrity.

Uniting Generations for a Cause

Carson also spoke of the unity he observed at the memorial, noting how young and old alike were coming together to honor Kirk’s vision for America.

“I am delighted to see the young people of our land merging with the older people like me and moving in the same direction,” he said, crediting America’s historical success to its foundational beliefs.

He further explained that these principles, rooted in the idea that rights come from a Creator rather than government, were central to the nation’s rapid rise to prominence.

Standing Firm Against Cultural Shifts

Addressing threats to American culture, Carson warned of deliberate attempts to influence youth through education and entertainment, quoting a radical leftist’s intent to sow lasting ideological seeds in children.

“They also had a goal of gaining control of the media and Hollywood so they could change the culture in America, making sexual perversion normal, natural, and healthy,” he added, outlining the scope of this agenda.

Carson praised Turning Point USA for its efforts to push back against these influences, ensuring that Kirk’s mission to protect traditional values would endure.

A Sacrifice Inspiring Future Growth

In a poignant moment, Carson connected the exact time of Kirk’s shooting, 12:24 p.m., to a verse from John 12:24, symbolizing sacrifice leading to greater impact.

“‘Except a corn of wheat fall onto the ground and die, it abideth alone, but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit,’” Carson recited, expressing gratitude for Kirk’s ultimate contribution.

He concluded with a call to action, reminding attendees that true freedom requires courage, stating, “I want us all to remember, you cannot be the land of the free if you’re not the home of the brave.”

Building Momentum for a Revival

Carson’s vision of a forthcoming revival resonated throughout the stadium, as he encouraged everyone to participate in this transformative movement.

“Get on board, get on board of the revival that is coming,” he urged, pointing to the packed venue as proof of growing momentum.

His message left the crowd inspired, blending themes of faith, freedom, and national pride as they remembered Charlie Kirk and looked toward the future of Turning Point USA.
