Ex-Pastor Detained For Sending Inappropriate Image To Minor

The recent arrest of former pastor James McMillan has escalated concerns over his repeated inappropriate actions involving minors.

James McMillan was arrested for allegedly sending a nude photo to a 14-year-old girl, marking yet another serious allegation against him, The Christian Post reported.

James McMillan, formerly a pastor at Slaughterville Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Konawa in Oklahoma, has faced multiple allegations regarding inappropriate behavior with minors over the years. Last month, he was arrested and charged with lewd or indecent acts with a child under 16. He found himself in custody again on Monday for a separate offense.

According to reports from KFOR, the incident involving the nude photo took place in March 2023 but only came to light recently. The father of the 14-year-old girl reported the inappropriate contact after his daughter disclosed the receipt of an unsolicited nude photo from McMillan.

The girl's father took immediate action by informing the local police to ensure that the incident was investigated thoroughly. He expressed his dismay and shock about McMillan's actions, highlighting the pastor's apparent disregard for appropriate boundaries.

Disturbing Details Emerge About the Former Pastor

Further investigations revealed that McMillan might have used his son’s Snapchat account to initiate contact with the victim. His son and the victim were previously schoolmates, which could have provided McMillan the opportunity to gain access to the girl's contact information.

A friend of the victim also became suspicious of McMillan's motives when he attempted to add her on Snapchat. This friend immediately labeled him as a pedophile, raising alarms about his intentions. The detailed account states that McMillan initially sent a photo of himself flexing in a mirror followed by a nude photo.

Upon realizing the girl was only 14, McMillan allegedly blocked her on the messaging app, subsequently erasing any history of their conversation. This action raised further suspicions about his attempts to conceal his activities from law enforcement and others.

Court Documents Reveal a Troubling History

Court records indicate that McMillan has been listed as a suspect in various sexual abuse cases dating back to 2003. His continuous involvement in such acts suggests a disturbing pattern of behavior. Notably, another incident was recorded in late November where McMillan allegedly exposed himself to another underage minor.

Following his recent arrest, his bond was set at a substantial $450,000, reflecting the seriousness of the allegations against him. The community and law enforcement are taking strong measures to ensure he faces the consequences of his actions.

Lonnie Holland, who attended one of the churches where McMillan preached, commented on the situation. He expressed no surprise at the allegations but emphasized the urgent need for accountability in light of McMillan's repeated offenses.

Community Reacts to the Arrest of James McMillan

“My daughter had come to me and let me know that she had received a nude picture from a grown man,” the victim’s father said. The profound impact of the incident on the family was evident as he recounted the distressing experience.

He further detailed the interaction, stating, “He just sent the fully nude picture. There was no request or anything like that for it.” This unprompted action by McMillan has left the community and the victim's family in shock,
