Fetterman slams Democrats, blasts support for Hamas

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) just dropped a truth bomb on HBO’s Real Time, calling out his own party’s cozy stance with a terrorist regime. On Friday, June 13, 2025, the Pennsylvania lawmaker didn’t mince words, accusing fellow Democrats of siding with Hamas, a group he says spits in the face of American values, as Breitbart reports. It’s a rare moment of clarity from a party often lost in progressive fog.

Fetterman, appearing on the show, tackled the 20-month war between Israel and Hamas, defending Israel’s fight while slamming Democrats for what he sees as a betrayal of principle. He argued that Hamas’s tactics -- hiding in hospitals, schools, and camps -- force Israel into tough combat zones. The senator’s blunt take is a wake-up call for a party he believes has veered off course.

Hamas has held hostages underground for over 600 days, Fetterman noted, a fact he says gets glossed over by critics. He insisted that if Hamas released these captives and disarmed, peace could break out tomorrow. It’s a simple equation, yet one that the left seems determined to ignore in favor of moral posturing.

Fetterman rejects genocide claims

“There was never a genocide,” Fetterman declared, dismantling accusations against Israel with surgical precision. He argued that if Israel wanted to wipe out Palestinians, the death toll would be far higher after 20 months. Instead, he pointed the finger at Hamas for embedding itself among civilians, making clean warfare impossible.

Israel faces a double standard, Fetterman said, with critics quick to condemn its every move while giving Hamas a free pass. This hypocrisy, he suggested, fuels a narrative that distorts the conflict’s reality. It’s the kind of straight talk that cuts through the noise of woke dogma.

Fetterman is not blind to Gaza’s suffering -- he stressed the need to rebuild the region. But he was crystal clear: reconstruction is a pipe dream as long as Hamas holds power. Letting a terrorist group run the show isn’t just naive; it’s a recipe for more chaos.

Hamas blamed for prolonging war

Hamas could end the war by freeing hostages and laying down arms, Fetterman reiterated. It’s a point so obvious it’s almost embarrassing that it needs repeating. Yet, the Democratic Party’s silence on this speaks volumes about its priorities.

“This is a 20-month war,” Fetterman said, emphasizing the conflict’s grueling toll. He rejected claims of Israeli war crimes or starvation tactics, calling the war existential for Israel.

The senator’s framing exposes the left’s selective outrage for what it is: a distraction from Hamas’s brutality.

Fetterman’s critique of his party stung hardest when he addressed its values. Democrats, he argued, have aligned with a regime that doesn’t share America’s commitment to freedom or decency. It’s a bold accusation, one that demands soul-searching from a party adrift.

Democrats getting it wrong

“Our party has lost that argument,” Fetterman said, lamenting Democrats’ embrace of Hamas’s cause. He sees this as a betrayal of the principles that should unite Americans, regardless of politics.

The senator’s words are a challenge to his colleagues: pick a side that doesn’t cheer for terrorists.

Gaza’s future hinges on ousting Hamas, Fetterman insisted, a point he drove home with unapologetic clarity. Rebuilding without removing the group is like pouring money into a black hole. It’s a pragmatic stance, not a heartless one, rooted in the reality of who Hamas is.

Fetterman’s not saying Israel is flawless, but he’s calling out the absurdity of painting it as the villain. Hamas’s strategy of using civilians as shields deserves the spotlight, not Israel’s response to it. The senator’s logic is a rebuke to those who’d rather score points than face facts.

Honest debate sought

“We just have to be honest,” Fetterman urged, pleading for a reality-based discussion about the conflict. His call cuts through the sloganeering that passes for discourse in progressive circles. Truth, not ideology, should guide the conversation.

The senator’s HBO appearance was a rare moment of a Democrat breaking ranks to speak plainly. By criticizing his party’s Hamas sympathies, he’s exposed a rift that’s been simmering for years. It’s a fissure conservatives should note -- and exploit -- in the battle of ideas.

Fetterman’s words remind us that even a broken clock is right twice a day. Democrats may be lost in woke wilderness, but one of their own just lit a flare for common sense.

Whether his party listens or doubles down on delusion remains to be seen.
