Frankie Muniz shares faith in Jesus Christ on social media

Frankie Muniz has taken to social media with a bold declaration of faith that has fans and fellow celebrities talking.

According to The Christian Post, the former "Malcolm in the Middle" star shared on September 21 that he is now openly professing his Christian beliefs, adding to other recent personal milestones, including a pause in his racing career and news of a sitcom reboot.

Muniz, 39, posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, writing, “Happy Sunday! I am proud to say I live for Jesus Christ. Who’s with me?” The post quickly sparked conversation online, receiving tens of thousands of likes and supportive replies from followers and fellow public figures.

Among the replies was actress Candace Cameron Bure, known for candidly sharing her own faith. Responding directly to Muniz’s message, she wrote, “Let’s GO!!! Praise God.” Her comment further amplified the response, as many followers echoed her enthusiasm.

The actor rose to fame in the early 2000s for playing the title role in the popular sitcom “Malcolm in the Middle,” co-starring Bryan Cranston. Muniz later stepped away from acting in 2006 to focus on both family commitments and a new passion for professional race car driving.

Faith Journey Shared Amid Life Transitions

Muniz’s recent declaration is not the first time he has spoken publicly about his Christian beliefs. In January 2025, he posted an Instagram video that showed him listening to the worship song “Build My Life” by Pat Barrett, followed by a humorous moment in which he was pulled over by police shortly afterward.

In the caption, he reflected on the experience by saying it was “hilarious contrast of feeling good praising God, to being pissed off in a matter of minutes.” He added that both good and frustrating moments are part of “His plan,” suggesting a deepening worldview shaped by faith.

The Emmy-nominated star has also been vocal about other values shaping his lifestyle. In a previous interview with US Weekly, he distanced himself from the pressures and temptations often associated with life in the entertainment industry.

Distance From Hollywood Lifestyle

Muniz explained that even though he once owned multiple luxury cars and lived an enviable lifestyle, it did not bring lasting satisfaction. “Money does not buy happiness,” he said, pointing out that many in Hollywood are unhappy despite their wealth and status.

Over the years, Muniz has maintained a commitment to a drug- and alcohol-free lifestyle. He credits this approach with helping him remain grounded through his varied career paths in acting and racing.

In August 2025, he suffered a setback when he injured himself at home while performing a routine household task. Muniz disclosed via Instagram that he fractured his distal radius—his wrist—after falling from a ladder while trying to change the batteries in a Ring camera.

Setback on the Track and Hopeful Return

After the fall, he emphasized the importance of adhering to ladder warnings and admitted that using a taller ladder might have helped prevent the accident. While disappointed to miss upcoming NASCAR events, including the Darlington race, he expressed gratitude that the injury wasn’t more severe.

“I’m gutted to miss the races,” he shared, “but I’m grateful it wasn’t worse.” Muniz said doctors estimate a recovery time of six to eight weeks and that he is eager to return once cleared. His announcement was met with support from his team and his racing sponsor, Ford Performance.

He also noted appreciation for his crew’s efforts this season, saying he feels for them and is determined to get back behind the wheel to finish the racing year strong.

Excitement Builds for 'Malcolm in the Middle' Return

Earlier this year, Disney announced a limited four-episode revival of “Malcolm in the Middle,” featuring original cast members including Muniz, Bryan Cranston, and Jane Kaczmarek. The reboot aims to explore where the characters have landed two decades later.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Muniz said that although it’s challenging to cover 20 years of character development in just four short episodes, fans will likely be surprised and pleased by the storyline. “I think people are going to be very happy with what they came up with,” he added.

The announcement has generated excitement among longtime viewers, many of whom expressed enthusiasm for seeing original cast members return to their roles after nearly two decades.

Personal Growth and a New Public Direction

Muniz’s recent declarations about faith, lifestyle choices, and the challenges he has faced represent a new, more transparent chapter in his career. While fans once knew him strictly as a child actor and later as a race car driver, he is now embracing the platform to share deeper elements of his journey.

By publicly expressing his Christian faith and reflecting on the priorities that have shaped his adult life, Muniz joins a growing number of public figures who are vocal about their beliefs, regardless of industry norms.

Whether on the racetrack, in front of the camera, or on social media, Muniz seems committed to leading with purpose, and for now, that purpose includes living for his faith.
