Miraculous Events Persist at Jerusalem's Garden Tomb, Two Millennia Later
The Garden Tomb in Jerusalem, a site many believe to be the location of Jesus Christ's resurrection, is still a source of intrigue and wonder as reports of miracles and healings emerge from visitors worldwide.
According to CBN, A string of miraculous recoveries and divine encounters has been reported by those visiting this revered site.
The Garden Tomb, nestled in eastern Jerusalem, holds a significant place in Christian faith. Workers at the site, including head guide Cesar Fleitas, assert that the tomb is not just a historical location but a living place of wonder where miraculous events occur frequently.
Fleitas Witnesses Miraculous Vision Restoration
Fleitas recalls witnessing several miraculous events during his time at the Garden Tomb. He shared the story of a Romanian man suffering from poor eyesight who experienced sudden restored vision while visiting. “He wanted to look at the symbol that is inside the tomb – the symbol of a cross with Greek letters,” Fleitas explained.
The visitor, having difficulty seeing the symbol, removed his glasses and was astonished to find he could see perfectly. His exclamation “I can see! I can see!” rang through the tomb, translated by his pastor from Romanian, affirming the miraculous occurrence before their eyes.
Miracle of Mobility for Ecuadorian Boy
In another remarkable account from two decades ago, a boy from Ecuador who was paralyzed and suffered from hydrocephalus was reported to have been healed after his family prayed at the tomb. “They brought the son inside the tomb. And as they were praying, they heard their son crying,” Fleitas shared.
Upon turning around, the family was stunned to see their son standing, a moment that redefined their faith and eventually led them to devote their lives to religious ministry. The boy’s sister has publicly spoken about the event, affirming, “Giancarlo is proof that God is real,” cementing the family’s testimony of the divine intervention they experienced.
Pastor Finds Relief Beneath the Olive Trees
Another visitor, Pastor Hobson Lara, narrated his long struggle with a chronic headache that disappeared after a visit to the Garden Tomb in 2010. According to Liz Tingman, a colleague of Fleitas, Lara found solace and healing beneath the olive trees adjacent to the tomb.
Overcome with emotion, he prayed intensively for 40 minutes. “He just held onto an olive tree because he was weeping uncontrollably... When the weeping stopped, he realized he was healed. He had no headache,” Tingman recounted.
Divine Healing Involving Brazilian Pastor and Fleitas
Furthermore, Fleitas himself was the recipient of a miraculous healing. Suffering from acute liver pains, he found relief after a Brazilian pastor visited and prayed over him. “The pastor told me, ‘It is the Lord God Almighty who heals you.’ Then he anointed me with oil, and that sharp pain was gone. Completely gone,” Fleitas confirmed,
A Non-Believer’s Encounter Leads to Curiosity
Interestingly, the Garden Tomb is also a place of spiritual awakening for non-believers. A Japanese visitor, who knew nothing of the Gospel, had a profound visual and emotional experience inside the tomb. Tingman recounted the visitor’s surprise and curiosity following the vision:
“I see a man with a crown on His head,” the visitor described, not realizing at first that she was envisioning a crown of thorns, a central element in the portrayal of Christ in Christianity. This unexpected encounter led her to seek more information about Jesus Christ, illustrating the tomb’s profound impact even on those unfamiliar with its historical and religious significance.
The ongoing occurrences at the Garden Tomb continue to draw visitors from across the globe, each seeking or inadvertently encountering something that transcends ordinary experience. As individuals from varied backgrounds share their stories, the narrative of the tomb as a place of enduring faith and miraculous happenings is further cemented, continuing to inspire and awe even two millennia after the most pivotal event in Christian faith occurred.
