Priest claims firsthand experiences with the supernatural

In an eye-opening account, Father Carlos Martins, a seasoned exorcist, delves into his encounters with demonic forces in his latest book, "The Exorcist Files."

Father Carlos Martins brings 20 years of chilling exorcism insights in "The Exorcist Files," detailing encounters that affirm his belief in the reality of the Devil and demonic forces, Daily Mail reported.

Father Martins has dedicated two decades to the ministry of exorcism, traveling globally to assist individuals allegedly possessed by demons. This specialized form of spiritual intervention typically features alarming symptoms such as inexplicable voices, blackouts, and instantly healing wounds.

Remarkable Stories From the Trenches of Exorcism

His extensive experiences include a particularly startling exorcism involving a middle-aged woman who manifested supernatural abilities. According to Father Martins, during the ritual, she exhibited immense strength, managed to unscrew a distant screw with no physical contact, and inflicted serious injuries on him.

"She drove it into her left forearm. Later, in the same session, she struck me in the face with such force that I needed two surgeries to repair the damage I sustained to my skull. The Devil is real," Father Martins recounted.

The priest's encounters underscore the belief that possessions don't occur at random but require a "door" through which demonic entities gain access to humans. He elaborates on how these entities exploit personal vulnerabilities to establish their presence.

The Reality of Possession Mirrors Cinematic Representations

Comparing real-life exorcisms to their portrayal in cinema, Father Martins suggests that films like "The Exorcist" often accurately depict demonic possession, albeit with some dramatic liberties. However, he emphasizes that the core elements remain startlingly close to what can occur during actual exorcisms.

In "The Exorcist Files," Father Martins shares a variety of cases, including that of Cheryl, a woman desperate to conceive who believed in the supernatural potential of deceased insects. "Someone told me they would help me get pregnant," Cheryl explained. "When they die, their spirits hang around their bodies looking for a place to form new life. Death releases life energy. I want that energy to make a baby happen inside my womb," she confided during a session.

Another documented case is that of Jeremy, a firefighter whose distressing experiences stem from a childhood encounter with an Ouija board, linking his past directly to his current haunted state.

Afghanistan's Haunted Music Box Tale

Among the global range of Father Martins' interventions, one involves a music box in Afghanistan that reportedly ceased its paranormal activities after a blessing. This incident further exemplifies the various forms and contexts in which alleged supernatural phenomena appear.

Father Martins' tales are not without their skeptics. Psychological and scientific communities offer alternative explanations for symptoms typically attributed to demonic possession. Dr. Amin Muhammad Gadit, a professor of psychiatry, argues that these could be manifestations of biochemical disorders or abnormal brain activity.

"Some patients who were considered affected by demons and treated with neuroleptics subsequently experienced remission, suggesting strong support for a biochemical theory," Dr. Gadit explained. He also noted the potential involvement of brain-stem structures in these behaviors.

Turning a Skeptical Eye Towards the Supernatural

Despite the fascinating and often terrifying nature of Father Martin's stories, the debate continues between traditional religious beliefs in demonic possession and modern scientific perspectives that lean towards physiological and psychological explanations.

Father Martins, undeterred by skepticism, remains committed to his work. "Though it is a joy to do this work, I have never enjoyed meeting the devil and his minions," he remarked on the challenges and paradoxes of his role as an exorcist.

The ongoing discourse surrounding possession and exorcism challenges our understanding of the paranormal, bridging the gap between faith and science. As more cases are studied and published, both opponents and advocates of the notion of possession might find new ground for understanding the complexities of human consciousness and spiritual belief.

In the end, whether one sees these events as spiritual afflictions or psychological ailments, "The Exorcist Files" offers compelling narratives that provoke thought about the unseen forces that may shape our lives.
