Signs of faith rise in Egypt amid dreams and healings
A series of extraordinary events reported by Christian missionaries in Egypt is stirring renewed interest in faith, as individuals from Muslim backgrounds experience powerful dreams and apparent healings.
According to Uncharted Ministries, miraculous encounters—including the dream of a mosque leader and the healing of a refugee woman—are leading Muslims to embrace Christianity across several Egyptian regions, CBN reported.
Uncharted Ministries, a Christian mission group active in the Middle East, has been working in cities such as Cairo, Luxor, and Alexandria, as well as small villages along the Nile River. Their teams report a wave of spiritual revival marked by conversions and unusual encounters with Jesus Christ.
Imam shares vivid dream of Jesus
One key event happened in a remote desert village in Egypt where Rahman, a member of the Uncharted Ministries team, met Ahmed, a local imam known for his devout practice of Islam. Ahmed was recognized in the community as a spiritual leader and bore the traditional prayer mark on his forehead from years of prostration in daily prayers.
The night before meeting Rahman, Ahmed had a dream that left him searching for answers. In the dream, Ahmed saw a man wearing radiant white clothing who introduced himself as Jesus Christ. The man told him, “Tomorrow you will meet a man named Rahman and he will tell you all about me.”
When Rahman arrived in the village, Ahmed greeted him and immediately recounted the vision, calling Rahman by name and asking for help understanding what he had seen. This led to an in-depth conversation about Jesus, which unfolded in the imam’s home with his family present.
The family of an imam embraces Christianity
Rahman shared the story of Jesus and explained the message of salvation to Ahmed, his wife, his sister, and his daughter. The imam’s family listened intently as Rahman described the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
By the end of the evening, Ahmed and his entire family had decided to become followers of Christ. The group from Uncharted Ministries viewed the sequence of events as nothing short of divine intervention, emphasizing the timing between the dream and their arrival as miraculous.
Uncharted Ministries later stated that Jesus's appearance to Ahmed the night before Rahman reached the village underscored the spiritual significance of the event. The organization continues to share Ahmed’s story to highlight what they see as a growing openness to Christianity in the region.
Another remarkable healing reported
In a separate incident, Rahman’s team encountered a Syrian refugee named Fatima while visiting a community in another part of Egypt. During their visit, Rahman shared the biblical account from Luke 8, in which Jesus heals a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years.
Fatima was deeply moved by the passage and said she felt as though it described her situation. "This man just told me a story from his Bible," she said. "It is my story, except the years are different. I have only been bleeding for eight years, not 12."
Following this exchange, Rahman and his team prayed with Fatima for healing. Later that same day, she returned and shared that her bleeding had stopped, something she said hadn’t happened in nearly a decade.
Fatima commits to her new faith
Fatima’s healing marked a turning point in her life. She expressed a desire to learn more about Jesus, stating, “I have stopped bleeding for the first time in eight years. You must tell me more about your Jesus.”
Moved by what she believed to be a divine encounter, Fatima chose to accept Christianity and is now actively being discipled by members of Uncharted Ministries’ team based in Egypt. Her transformation added to a growing number of testimonies emerging from the region.
These developments are documented and shared through the “No Longer Nomads” podcast, hosted by Erik Ouimette and Josh Doyle. The podcast highlights personal stories and spiritual trends they say point to a larger movement happening across Egypt and other parts of the Middle East.
Mission group continues regional outreach
Rahman and his team continue traveling throughout Egyptian cities and remote areas, often guided by what they describe as prompts from the Holy Spirit. Their focus remains on outreach, spiritual teaching, and support to new believers coming from Islamic backgrounds.
Uncharted Ministries sees its efforts not just as missionary work but as witnessing a unique spiritual phenomenon. The group describes the conversion of a prominent imam and the healing of a refugee woman as signs of something greater at work in the region.
With stories like Ahmed’s and Fatima’s gaining attention, Uncharted Ministries hopes to reach more communities, document more experiences, and offer guidance to those exploring a new path in faith. They believe these encounters reflect what they call “acts of wonder” taking place in modern-day Egypt.
