Trump ally faces allegations of revenge porn threats
Miss United States 2024, Lindsey Langston, accuses Republican Congressman Cory Mills of threats and intimidation following the breakdown of their relationship.
According to Daily Mail, Langston filed a report with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department, detailing a relationship with Mills, 45, from November 2021 to February 2025. Her allegations, now under review by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, paint a troubling picture of personal misconduct.
Langston told authorities she lived at Mills’ home in New Smyrna Beach during their relationship, believing his marriage to Rana Al Saadi was nearing its end. She left him after discovering reports of another girlfriend, only to face what she describes as relentless harassment.
Threats of Exposure and Violence Alleged
The sheriff’s report, dated July 14, states that since February 20, 2025, Mills has contacted Langston repeatedly, threatening to release nude images and videos of her, including intimate recordings. She also provided text and Instagram messages where Mills allegedly warned of harm to any future partners she might date.
One chilling message, reportedly sent on June 12, 2025, read, “I hope you hold your crown until the end.” Such a statement, if true, drips with menace, suggesting a personal vendetta that has no place in the life of a public official sworn to uphold integrity.
These accusations aren’t just a private spat; they raise questions about character and fitness for office. When someone entrusted with representing constituents is accused of wielding personal content as a weapon, it erodes trust in our institutions.
Additional Domestic Incident Under Scrutiny
Langston’s decision to leave Mills was spurred by media reports of a domestic incident involving another woman, Sarah Raviani, a 27-year-old Iranian activist, at Mills’ D.C. penthouse in February 2025. An initial police report obtained by NBC claimed Raviani was grabbed and shoved, showing fresh bruises on her arm.
Disturbingly, the report noted officers overheard Mills instructing Raviani to lie about the origin of her injuries. Though a revised report later labeled it a family disturbance with no cause for arrest, and both parties denied wrongdoing, the incident adds a layer of concern to Langston’s claims.
Raviani herself told the Daily Mail, “Regarding the police call, I’ve confirmed multiple times and I’ll confirm again, no assault took place.” Yet, the shifting narrative and allegations of coercion leave lingering doubts about what really happened behind closed doors.
Financial Troubles Compound Public Image
Adding to Mills’ mounting controversies, court filings in D.C. reveal he owes over $85,000 in unpaid rent for his penthouse, with a monthly rate of $20,000. Documents show late payments 18 times, including missed months altogether, though Mills has repaid some amounts.
Mills told journalist Roger Sollenberger that a faulty payment portal caused the delays, a claim that might explain logistical hiccups but hardly excuses such a significant backlog. For a lawmaker advocating fiscal responsibility, this personal financial disarray sends a conflicting message to constituents.
His office declined to comment further on the rent issue to the Daily Mail, leaving the public to wonder how someone championing America First policies struggles with basic personal obligations. It’s a distraction from the serious work he’s expected to do in Florida’s 7th District.
Denials and Political Defense in Response
Mills has firmly denied Langston’s accusations, stating to the Daily Mail, “These claims are false and misrepresent the nature of my interactions.” He insists on his integrity and promises full cooperation to clear his name, while refraining from further comment out of respect for the legal process.
His spokesperson framed the allegations as a “political attack” orchestrated by opponents to grab headlines, a familiar refrain when public figures face personal scandals. While political motives can’t be ruled out, dismissing serious claims outright as mere partisan games risks trivializing genuine grievances that deserve a fair hearing.
In the end, this saga is a stark reminder of the scrutiny public officials face, especially those aligned with high-profile causes like America First. Mills must address these allegations head-on, not just for his own reputation, but to restore faith in a system too often marred by personal failings over public service.
