Trump Serves Fries At PA McDonald’s, Critiques VP Harris

Former President Donald Trump surprised patrons at a Pennsylvania McDonald's by donning an apron and serving up fries, all while taking aim at Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to Fox News, Trump's unexpected move behind the counter went beyond a simple photo op, as he used the moment to question Harris's previous claims of having worked at a fast-food chain.

Trump's impromptu McDonald's visit took place on Sunday afternoon in Feasterville, Pennsylvania. As he entered the establishment, he shook hands with the owner and declared his intent to seek employment, much to the surprise of onlookers and staff alike.

Trump's Fry-Cooking Debut Draws Crowds

Thousands of Trump supporters gathered outside the McDonald's restaurant as the former president tried his hand at cooking fries.

Trump seemed to relish his new role, interacting with customers and reporters through the drive-thru window.

During his shift, Trump couldn't resist taking a swipe at Vice President Harris. He proclaimed through the drive-thru window: "I've now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala at McDonald's."

The comment was a direct challenge to Harris's previous statements about her work history, which Trump claims are false.

Trump continued to engage with the media and customers while preparing food and discussing various topics, including his recent call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his views on raising the minimum wage.

McDonald's Owner Welcomes Presidential Visit

Derek Giacomantonio, the owner of the Feasterville McDonald's, provided a statement to Fox News Digital, emphasizing the significance of Trump's visit to his establishment.

As a small, independent business owner, it is a fundamental value of my organization that we proudly open our doors to everyone who visits the Feasterville community. That's why I accepted former President Trump's request to observe the transformative working experience that 1 in 8 Americans have had: a job at McDonald's.

Giacomantonio, a former McDonald's crew member himself, highlighted the importance of such jobs as pathways to opportunity, noting that Pennsylvania franchisees provide over 25,000 jobs across the state.

Political Implications of Trump's McDonald's Shift

Trump's McDonald's appearance wasn't just about flipping burgers. It served as a campaign stop with only 15 days remaining until Election Day.

Following his fast-food stint, Trump was scheduled to attend a town hall in Lancaster and later travel to Pittsburgh for the Steelers-Jets NFL game.

The Harris-Walz 2024 campaign responded to Trump's McDonald's appearance, with spokesperson Joseph Costello stating:

Today, Donald Trump showed exactly what we would see in a second Trump term: exploiting working people for his own personal gain. Trump doesn't understand what it's like to work for a living, no matter how many staged photo ops he does.

Costello contrasted this with Vice President Harris's record, claiming she has a history of standing up for workers and challenging those who take advantage of them.

Trump's Fry-Cooking Stunt Draws Media Buzz

Trump's McDonald's visit highlighted the ongoing political theater of the campaign season, with both sides using every opportunity to score points with voters.

The former president's willingness to step behind the counter, even if just for a short time, provided a unique backdrop for his criticisms of the current administration.

As the election draws nearer, such unconventional campaign stops may become more frequent as candidates seek to connect with voters in memorable ways. Trump's fry-cooking shift certainly achieved that goal, generating significant media attention and giving him a platform to continue his political messaging.
