Unidentified Riot Participants Met With Capitol Police On January 6

Two mysterious figures captured compelling footage throughout the U.S. Capitol before witnessing the fatal shooting of Ashli Babbitt on January 6, 2021.

According to The Blaze, the unidentified men, nicknamed "Frick and Frack," secretly met with Capitol Police after the shooting and shared video evidence before an official investigation began.

The duo, who have not been arrested or charged, assisted protesters from the Capitol's West Plaza to the House Speaker's Lobby.

Their presence and actions during crucial moments of January 6 have sparked intense speculation, particularly as they stood mere feet away when U.S. Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd shot Babbitt.

Key Witnesses Remain Mysteriously Unidentified

Despite the FBI's arrest count approaching 1,600 individuals connected to January 6, these two material witnesses have managed to avoid public identification.

Security footage reviewed revealed their consistent proximity to one another during a critical two-hour period, with one man holding onto the other's backpack to prevent separation in crowded hallways.

The men's involvement began at the West Plaza, where one helped protesters climb onto stone railings by positioning police bicycle racks as makeshift ladders. Their actions continued as they followed crowds through various Capitol locations, including the Crypt, Statuary Hall, and eventually the Speaker's Lobby.

Video evidence shows the pair were among the first protesters to enter the Capitol Building through the Senate Wing Door at 2:13 p.m., approximately 30 minutes before Babbitt's shooting. Throughout their time inside, they maintained their roles as both participants and observers, capturing extensive footage of the unfolding events.

Complex Web of Unidentified Material Witnesses

More than a dozen other material witnesses present during Babbitt's shooting remain unidentified. Among them is an individual known as #RedOnRedGlasses, who allegedly threw a two-by-four through a Senate Wing Door window, creating the initial breach point into the Capitol.

Another unidentified witness, #MrFlyEyes, was captured on video attempting to breach the Speaker's Lobby doors after Capitol Police officers abandoned their posts.

Additional witnesses, including #PushyKeffiyeh and #NoProHelmet, operated multiple cameras during and after the shooting.

The investigation has revealed that "Frick" appears to be approximately 55 years old, 5'7" tall, with a grey mustache and balding head. His companion "Frack" is estimated to be around 35 years old, 6 feet tall, with dark hair and a thick beard.

Secret Meeting With Capitol Police Raises Questions

After the shooting, the two men met with U.S. Capitol Police at the grounds' edge, sharing at least one video clip as evidence. Notably, police did not record their conversation with the witnesses, though security footage shows one man reviewing video evidence with special agents in an unmarked squad car.

According to online sleuths at Sedition Hunters, one of the men is reportedly a family nurse practitioner from California. However, when pressed for details about this identification, the group provided no additional information.

The death of Ashli Babbitt, classified as a homicide by the D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, has led to a $30 million wrongful death lawsuit against the U.S. government. The case, initially filed in San Diego, has been moved to Washington, D.C., federal court.

Moving Forward With Unanswered Questions

The Department of Justice continues to prosecute January 6 cases, though questions persist about their ongoing approach following former President Trump's reported re-election. Recent arrests indicate continued enforcement, including the detention of a 74-year-old cancer patient for nonviolent misdemeanors.

Two key witnesses known as "Frick and Frack" joined numerous protesters inside the Capitol on January 6, 2021, capturing extensive video footage and witnessing the fatal shooting of Ashli Babbitt. Following the incident, they met privately with Capitol Police to share evidence before any formal investigation began.

Their continued anonymity, despite clear video evidence of their presence and actions, adds another layer of complexity to the ongoing investigations and legal proceedings surrounding the events of January 6. As the fourth anniversary approaches, questions about their identities and roles that day remain unanswered.
