Behar invites Trump back to The View after saying he seems ill and near the end

Joy Behar invited President Donald Trump back onto The View after saying he seems ill and is not long for this world, a move the White House brushed off as pure derangement.

Fox News Digital reported that the longtime co-host extended the invitation on the Nov. 24, 2025, episode while the panel discussed Sen. Mitch McConnell and the idea of term limits.

Behar told viewers the press is not covering Trump’s health the way it covered former President Joe Biden. Then she opened the door for another Trump appearance on the daytime show he once visited more than a dozen times before taking office.

The same co-host had already told New York Magazine that Trump “is not long for this world” and “does not seem like he’s well.” She said she would love to put him under the lights anyway.

Behar’s invitation lands beside her own health digs

In the magazine interview, Behar did not soften the point.

She put it this way:

"You know Trump is not long for this world. He seems ill. He does not seem like he’s well,"

She added that she would welcome the confrontation.

"I’d love Donald Trump to take the heat,"

That is the posture: declare the president looks finished, then ask him to sit for a televised grilling. Behar has also urged viewers to press Congress to invoke the 25th Amendment, claiming Trump is “destroying the United States of America.”

She framed the media double standard in plain terms. Last month she argued that Trump’s health does not draw the same wall-to-wall scrutiny Biden faced. The comparison is the story. When Biden was in office, every stumble and verbal slip became national news. With Trump back in the White House, the same outlets suddenly sound restrained.

White House answers the on-air lecture

A White House spokesperson did not play along. The response to Fox News Digital was blunt.

"‘Joyless’ Behar is an extremely unlikeable, talentless hack with a poorly rated TV show who clearly suffers from a severe and incurable disease known as Trump Derangement Syndrome,"

The spokesperson went further:

"I lose braincells every single time I have the displeasure of hearing her speak,"

Officials have pointed to Trump’s annual physical and the finding that he is fully fit for presidential duties with excellent health. Behar’s diagnosis came from a talk-show couch and a magazine Q&A, not a medical chart.

Old familiarity now serves a political script

Behar has known Trump for decades. She attended his 1993 wedding to Marla Maples at The Plaza Hotel. She recalls him as “just an annoying New York figure” with a sense of humor she once found less strange. Now she says that humor consists of “making fun of handicapped people” and that he is “much more dangerous” than in his first term.

She also recalled an earlier exchange in which she compared him to Woody Allen and described him saying he would date his daughter Ivanka if they were not related. Those anecdotes sit beside her current project: cast Trump as both a fading man and an existential threat, then invite him onto the set to “take the heat.”

The legacy goal is not hidden. Behar has said she wants her career to include helping remove Trump from office. An invitation dressed up as open debate sits next to open calls for the 25th Amendment. Viewers can judge which motive runs the show.

The View’s panel keeps stepping on legal rakes

The invitation arrives as the program already struggles with its own loose talk. Just the News reported that the women of The View issued four on-air “legal notes” in a single Friday episode after comments about Trump’s cabinet picks and allies.

Sunny Hostin, a former prosecutor, read multiple clarifications tied to allegations about Matt Gaetz and Pete Hegseth. Behar herself announced a note about George Santos after she referenced his criminal charges.

Behar told the audience, “One minute, I just got a note,” then clarified that Santos reached a plea deal after pleading guilty to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. A viewer summed up the hour on social media as four legal notes for claims involving Gaetz, Pam Bondi, Santos, and Hegseth.

That is the production standard around the same table now inviting the president back for a health and character inquisition. When the panel’s own words require stacked disclaimers, the claim to moral and medical authority lands softer. Related coverage of co-host Sunny Hostin’s contested claims has already shown how quickly the show’s self-image collides with the record.

Age scrutiny flipped when the party labels changed

Behar’s media complaint is the cleanest tell. She says Trump is not getting the Biden treatment on age and stamina. She is right about the disparity. She is wrong to treat it as a mystery.

Biden’s decline was visible for years. The same press corps that turned every Biden freeze-frame into a segment now treats similar questions about Trump as bad manners or bad faith. Behar wants credit for noticing the imbalance while still using the imbalance as a club.

Trump appeared on The View repeatedly as a private citizen and celebrity guest. The welcome mat was out when he was useful programming. The mat returns only after the host has labeled him unwell, dangerous, and a candidate for constitutional removal. That is not curiosity. That is a setup.

Conservative readers have watched this movie. Talk-show panels demand “accountability” from Republicans, then issue legal notes when their own allegations outrun the facts. They lecture about norms, then cheer extraordinary remedies like the 25th Amendment when elections do not deliver the preferred result.

Behar can want Trump on the set. She can also keep telling America he looks finished. What she cannot do is pretend those two moves serve neutral journalism or equal standards. The White House answered the personal attack in kind. The larger failure is institutional: a daytime franchise that confuses partisan theater with public service and still expects the country to treat its health lectures as serious.

Voters already rendered their verdict at the ballot box. A talk show’s sudden concern for presidential stamina, paired with an open wish to hustle the winner off the stage, tells you more about the panel than about the president’s charts.
