Former WWE wrestler Amber Nova arrested on DUI charge in Orlando

Former WWE wrestler Amber “Nova” Flora was booked in Orlando for driving under the influence and refusing a DUI test, then posted bail ahead of a weekend court date.

The New York Post reported that police arrested the 34-year-old pro wrestler for a DUI and for refusing to submit to a DUI test after she was taken into custody early Friday.

Orlando Police Department records place the custody time at 5:40 a.m. Flora posted $2,000 in bail and walked free in less than five hours. The case did not end at the booking desk.

She appeared in court on Saturday on a mandatory date and is due back Monday for a follow-up hearing, according to coverage that tracked the weekend filings. No injuries or crash damage were described in the available police account.

Ring résumé met an early-morning stop

Flora performs under the name Amber Nova. She built her reputation on the independent circuit after short runs that did not stick in bigger promotions.

Before the bright lights, she worked as an emergency medical technician and studied at the Technical College of the Lowcountry in South Carolina. She was born in New Jersey and later made her name in SHINE Wrestling, where she claimed the Nova Championship in 2023.

Earlier, she had brief stints in WWE’s NXT brand and in All Elite Wrestling, mostly in losing matches. Her last documented bout was Sept. 19. The arrest cut across a career still defined more by independent titles than household fame.

Bail came fast; the docket did not disappear

Friday’s booking was straightforward on paper: DUI, test refusal, Orlando custody, cash bond. Refusal of a chemical test is treated as a serious separate problem in Florida traffic cases because it blocks officers from a standard measure of impairment.

High-profile DUI arrests keep landing in the news for the same basic reason, impaired driving is a choice that puts everyone else on the road at risk.

Flora’s release in under five hours shows how quickly a defendant can leave a holding cell with bond money ready. It does not erase the charge or the Saturday appearance that followed.

Drivers who treat the wheel like a private stage keep producing grim headlines. A suspected DUI hit-and-run can destroy a family in a single night; the legal system exists to interrupt that pattern before the worst happens.

Police did not release a street-level narrative of the stop in the material publicized with the arrest. What they did place on the record is enough for a clear bottom line: early-morning custody, a DUI case, a refused test, posted bond, and a live court calendar.

Next date is already on the calendar

Monday’s follow-up hearing will move the paperwork forward. Until a judge resolves the counts, the arrest stands as a public fact against a performer who sold toughness in the ring and now faces ordinary traffic accountability in Orlando.

Champions and jobbers alike answer to the same impaired-driving laws, and the public is safer when those laws are enforced without excuses.
